Possible uses of AI tools using the example of ChatGPT

In November 2022, the US company OpenAI published its chat­bot ChatGPT. On 21 March 2023, Bill Gates writes a post on his blog "Gates Notes" with the headline "The Age of AI has begun". Although artificial intelligence has been part of our daily lives for years, ChatGPT has pushed the topic in order to receive attention and encourage discussion. More­over, in recent years, many companies have embraced the topic of Artificial Intelligence and have capitalised the benefits for HR departments to successfully market AI tools. If you take a closer look at ChatGPT, there are many sections of the HR department that can benefit from these possibilities and save ones internal resources.

In the following, we would like to explore some examples of the use of ChatGPT along the employee life cycle and present what issues one should also be aware of:

Digression: ChatGPT is a chatbot that composes human-like text responses. Dall-E 2 creates images based on descriptions. Both tools answer on the basis of data. It is generally advisable not to see the tools as a source of truth, but as a way to take away the "fear of the white sheet of paper".
